G35 Coupe - 2007 Headlights on 2005

How difficult is it to Frankenstein 2007 G35 Coupe Headlights onto my 2005 G35 Coupe? I'm about to nab a complete set pair of 07 Headlights ...
Ballast, Bulbs ... everything.
Can I just pull out mine, and shove in the new ones?

It is pretty basic and straight forward. If you have the ballasts on the 2007 lights already it is even easier. You need to pull the front fender wells back to get to the bumper bolts. Then you need to remove the front bumper, and once you do that you can get to the bolts for the headlights. A tight fit to get your hands in, especially when unclipping the harnesses, but not too difficult. I have done the process so many times I can do it in about 20 minutes remove and install! LOL, I LOVE powertools! By the way of your in Central Florida bring it by, I'll help you out!

Im actually in South Florida (West Palm Beach)
Where are you located?

I'm gonna be replacing my front with an 07 bumper -
I suppose, I should change the lights at the same time!

Orlando / Daytona area. Yes, if your changing the bumper, you may as well do everything at the same time.

please spend some time in the tech area and post threads in their corresponding sub-forum. this topic has been discussed several times.

but to answer your question, it's a direct swap/plug & play.

hid and foglight bulbs are different (d2s and h1).

I actually used the search previous to posting, it wasn't very helpful.

Also, unless spending hours a day on here, it's kinda tricky finding the proper sub-forums.
There's sub-forums for the oddest things, in-turn there's way to many sub-forums to navigate through to find the proper one. It's a bit of a headache.

Anyways, back on topic -
Would I need to change the bulbs in-order for the 07 Headlights to work on my 05?
Or I just plug them in, fire up the car and I'm good to go?

you just need to get used to the forums is all. it's really not that difficult.

https://g35driver.com/forums/lighting/162528-g35-lights-2003-vs-2006-a.html

both confirm that 06+ headlights will fit.

didn't i say in my above post that the new 06+ headlights use different HID and foglight bulbs? your old ones use d2r (HID), H4 (fog/high beam), 194/168 (clearance strip). the new ones will use d2s (HID hi/low), h1 (fog), 194/168 (city light).

if your new headlights come with bulbs...then you probably won't have to get new ones..

make sure you properly aim your headlights when you put them on.
