Baking Headlights

I was planning on modding my headlights since I have an extra pair to mess around with. I have searched these boards as well as talked to a couple members who have done it before, and I seem to get VERY different responses. I've heard temperatures from 150-325 degrees, and times from 5 mins to 30 mins. I was just hoping some of you who have opened their headlights before can post up how long and at what temperature you guys baked your lights. By the way, I know alot of people recommend a heat gun over the oven, but like I said, I have an extra pair and I'm not too worried if they get messed up. Also, I have not had any bad experiences with the oven yet with my previous cars' headlights.

Thanks

watched them heated up with a heat gun pulled apart then same to put them back together..Then sand them down and sent out to a body shop for paint. Watched this done many times by a "customizer". Tailights were just sent to body shop to be painted or smoked.
