06 Headlight question :D

tOOO LAZY TO SEARCH

but anyways .. im sure some of my buddies on here will help me out

im getting 06 headlights soon with no lights or ballast/ignitor

So what do i need ?

Will the 03-05 ballast/ignitor work for the 06 ?

I know I need to switch from D2R's to D2S's ? So i guess ill be spending around $300 for some Phillips Ultilion 6k D2S's ?

Whats a good amber bulb for the turn signal ? Size too please

O ya forget the city light and high beam i dont even use that ish .. but could i re-use my h4 High from my 04's ?

DOMO

well i think the nissan family calls it a ballast and the bmw family calls it the ignitor

also bmw has a headlight control module for the auto aim head lights (sorry i work on them for a living, so i always think BMW) .. but the G doesnt use a headlight module .. correct ?

First thing, make sure you aim them correctly so you don't blind the crap out of everyone else on the road like an inconsiderate *****.
You need d2s bulbs, I highly suggest NOT going with the ultinons, stick with OEM 85122+ for best performance by far.
Your old ballast and ignitor will work, but usually they leave the ignitor in your stolen headlights.
The amber bulb is a 7440 single filament bulb, should be <$5 from autozone
Your foglights now use h1 bulbs, you can't reuse your h4's

Paid $200 for my 06 headlights May I suggest using the SMT Amber VLED's from

http://frickinbrite.com/catalog/prod...roducts_id=318

I still need to buy the bulbs for my headlights too. Let me know if you find a good H1 that matches the color of your 6k philips ^^

congrats. everyone is switching to projectors these days. i was totally going to get the 6000k ultinons but ended up deciding against it. i will opt for the color mod instead. redlude is right...you do lose output going with the 6000k although it does look cooler. have you decided which h1 fogs you're going with?

projectors are the only way these days ... i work on bmw's for a living and all of them with the xenon option have the projector .. the light output on those things are fabulous ... i dont get how people drive with out HID+projectors

^^^projectors are bi-xenon....the high beams will come from your projectors...the fogs are strictly fogs.
