my 7440 bulb (headlight turn signal bulb) is only working when i turn my blinkers on. The bulb stays out when i put my headlights on, and continues to only work when i use the blinker. Dont know if the bulb is loose or if i am in need of a new bulb. If anyone has had this problem please let me know. thanks.

Thats what a 7440 bulb is supposed to do, its only got 1 filament

 

Well its supposed to be on when i turn my headlights on. Only 1 of them stay on when i turn on my headlights.

 

If they are supposed to stay on, then you need 7443 bulbs, not 7440, 7443 are dual filament
