Question cracked headlamp housing - defect???

Hello all,

I'm a newbie to this forum (which is full of helpful info ) and I have an '03 g35 coupe with my low beam bulb and clearance strip bulb out. There is 5-6" internal crack on the housing....is that a defect?? Of course I'm out of my warranty and the dealer will charge me @ least $125 to even look at it. Should I just replace the 2 bulbs or is that crack gonna cause them to blow out again. Upgrading to the 06 proj headlamps would be great but it's a little pricey.
Please Help!!! Thanks!!!!!! (I'll try to post a pic later if needed)

Thumbs up

It is a common problem, allthough will not affect bulb life. New housings are very expensive, we can sell them to you (factory new parts), for $480 each, plus shipping. have been told that aftermarket are making them, cannot attest to the validity of that, hope that helps!
