Smile Installed my VLED's!!

I just got done installing VLED's on my G.

Dome/map lights:
Easy install. If bulbs don't light up at first, switch them and then try again.

Door lights:

Easy install. Laid down on an old skateboard I found in my garage lol. Don't be afraid to apply a little bit of pressure on the lens caps. They won't break!

License plate lights:

Easy install.

Reverse lights:
Frickin nightmare! Most of my time was spent here. Found the first 2 nuts without a problem, but couldn't find the 3rd one for the longest time! Finally, I lifted the plastic liner and that little f^cker was hidden in there. Used an 8mm socket and extension and got it right out. I only lost 1 nut (out of 6, 3 on each side) in the process.

I'll post pics soon

Nice. I have all those lights, except the doors (need to get around to ordering those) from vLeds as well. People seem to love the reverse lights.

I also ordered some bulbs from vleds.

Hopefully they won't be too bright for my gauges.

The reverse lights are a great compliment to the license plate bulbs (i.e. at night). However, they are def not as bright as the stock reverse bulbs. Anxious to see if I get honked at during the day while reversing.

Yeah, cause I like to stand out and cops don't mind!

What I was referring to was if cars behind me would notice my reverse lights were on WHILE REVERSING! If you still don't get it, feel free to PM me and I'll refer you to a colleague of mine who is a "bored" certified Psychiatrist!

You have to remove the trunk carpet liner (remove the black clips with a flathead and pull out liner). Then, remove the black hard plastic liner that surrounds the trunk release hitch. Now look for the 3 nuts on the inside of the trunk that are attached to the rear tail lights and remove those (with an 8mm socket; extension required for 3rd "hidden" nut). Recall from my previous post, the 3rd one is very hard to find (unless you have successfully removed the hard plastic liner). Once the 3 8mm nuts are removed, now you can slide out the rear tail light piece and unscrew the reverse light bulb and install your aftermarket one. I would recommend putting some towels/rags around the housing of the rear tail lights and your paint (i.e. between the tail lights and the body of your car to prevent scratches, etc.). Finally, enjoy your new aftermarket LED reverse lights.

Good luck!

Haha...reverse lights aren't too bad now that I know what I'm doing! Just be sure to remove the hard plastic liner that surrounds the trunk release hitch. That will expose the 3rd hidden nut that was a PITA to get to.
