6000k wouldn't be a good idea?
i drive an 06 and i have noticed that too. they look lil too yellow for me and i'm getting aggrivated on how i see other cars with better lights.. everyone else's cars (lexus, acura, bmw, etc) have a brighter output stock. would i have to change the lenses inside the headlights? i have so many questions about this dilemma for me..

 

How is everyone elses cars brighter? Our projectors have pretty decent output compared to the likes of many BMWs/lexuses etc. Just because the stock output is "yellow" doesn't mean its not as bright if not brighter than other HID projectors. If your concern is actual output performance and not color, then going to 6000k would be a horrible idea as you are going the wrong direction in terms of output since 6000k ultinons have a 25+% decrease in output. Clear lense swap is the best option for both color and output with stock bulbs.

 

There are ways to make certain OEM ballasts draw 50 watts of current instead of 35 watts and using a 50watt bulb you will get around 5200 Lumens per bulb and that is about 1.5 times brighter than 4300K at 35 watts. There are also aftermarket companies that make 50 watt ballasts. Philips makes 50 watt bulbs only for off road applications. But it will fit in your average D2S projector like the ones in 06.

However it is ill advised to cast that much light on the ground (about 11000 lumens) because the ground does reflect light back into your eyes and your eyes will constrict due to excess light and make it dangerous to drive in dark roads as you will not see deer on the sides of the roads where it's less lit.
