Hey Gee
Try posting this in your regional section to see if you get hits for anything local to you.

I ordered directly from PIAA http://www.piaa.com/

But it turns out, they just usually have a local retailer ship them. My last order from PIAA came from a retailer a few citys over from me. Who'da thunk it?

Before my quad projector retrofit I tried out a number of bulbs. I found the Philips and GE 6000k or Piaa 6600k to have the best color/output combo. Anything above ~4700k will have less output but more color. The cheap ebay and generic ones have way less output than the good ones. They are well worth the $.

Ebay is still one of the best places.

Stick to name brands. Probably the most popular 6000K would be the Philips Ultinon. You can get them on Ebay for about $180.
