Re: MY RIDE - CLEARED ORANGE PIECE
Nice job!!
Too bad you are in SF... I really need someone near Toronto to do this for me.
thou if I get bored enough during summer time I will try to do it myself.
I have just a couple of questions for you =)
did you use a heat gun?
does the melted sealant tend to drip?
what did you do to reseal the unit?
how do you make sure you don't get any condensation?
thanks a bunch!

Yes, it is a colored bulb.........by Raybrig, which is why it looks slightly blue when off.......it's actually a blue when on, but looks like the light refraction from the angle shots make it look orange, which is good for me..............darn CHPs
This mod is not recommended for those who have never done this before on any headlight...........the G35s are actually tougher than other headlights out there.
Yes, I used a heat gun......and the sealant does drip once it gets hot enough. As for keeping condensation out, it will depend on the type of sealeant you use and how well you seal everything up. You could try this on your own, but do be careful as these headlights run for $1200 a piece. If you break anything inside it cannot be replaced separately by pieces...........you must buy the whole headlight unit.
