agreed. I've had a ccfl tube in my license plate light for over a year a haven't burned out like LEDs do.

They are white with a very slight hint of blue, just like any "HID" white color would look.

What kind of ccfl do you recommend and where do you buy them? Also, what do you do to install it?

i just finished installing all white LEDs on my car including license plate....looks amazing...i dont know why they didnt do this to begin with..

I believe I used a 12" white CCFL, just like the ones you use in computers. I had my rear bumper off, so I was able to remove the metal bracket that holds the license plate lights. I had to cut the metal a bit with a dremel to fit the CCFL in there, and then glued it in place. Wired everything up and it's been working great.

Thanks for the info but it seems like it is alot more work than I was hoping for lol

Wasn't worth it to me to keep buying replacment LED bulbs when they started to go bad. It adds up, and a CCFL is brighter, lasts longer, and has a better light spread.

Hey Moog, any leads on a really good detail shop in dallas area? One that can buff the paint, etc. Been a year and figure its time to get the paint buffed.

^ The Sylvania bulb website says they are LEDs but that's obvious...

whats the piaa bulb that has the a bit more then a hint of blue. A bit stonger than just a tint of blue but not fully bluee..

I think the ones lekker droom ordered are WHITE just White. I would like to have some blue

Just got them, havent installed them yet but yes, these are supposed to be white. The label says high intensity white color. let you know tomorrow when i put them in.
