So, I'd like to get some advice on upgrading my fog lights. What brand/model and brightness and also how much should they cost and where should i get them.
Currently I am looking at something like:
PIAA Xtreme Force H4 Bulbs (4700k). I found a 2 pack for ~$115 US
Is that a good price? Any other suggestions?
I read on another thread that the stock HID's are like 4300k, so the 4700k fogs would blend very nicely. I want the fogs to be as close to the HID as possible so i can have them both on and have it look correct and not yellowed.
Thanks

wth is Xtreme Force? according to PIAA:
http://www.piaa.com/Bulbs/Bulbs-H4.html
i have Super Plasma GT-X and those look fairly nice, good match for stock HIDs, but not such a good match for my Phillips Ultinon 6000k HIDs. never heard of Xtreme Force.

Which H4 bulb depends on what you intend to use the fog lights for in the first place. If your goal is to actually see better in low-visibility conditions, do not focus on matching the color to your headlights.Originally Posted by Konsole

I have purchased several sets of Phillips/Osram ECE spec bulbs from Peter Burgeson over the past five years or so. Peter has an eBay store at: http://motors.search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZpdburg
My 2004 G35X (high-beam and fog in one H4) has a set of Osram 70/65W bulbs waiting to be installed. Peter rates them highly compared to even the brand new Night Breaker series.
If you do buy any non-DOT approved bulbs, be smart about where and how you use them, and do not buy the highest output bulbs - it is easy to melt our cars' plastic housings with high-wattage (85-130W) bulbs.
Good luck!

this might seem irrelevant, but i heard that it would not be helpful to upgrade the fogs/high beam to hid's, why ?

Upgrading the fogs may hurt actual fog use a little but I want the color of the light to match more closely so it looks better.Originally Posted by jareddj3
