12V outlet not working and Xenon flicker

Hey guys,
I have a couple problems,
1. My passenger side 12V outlet does not work when I plugged my navigation into it.
2. My headlights flicker (they go on and off really fast when I hit small bumps in the road. I have never owned Xenons before so is this a sign of them goig out or a loose connection somewhere?

Thanks you all

1. Check the fuse. Could be almost burnt out
2. Most likely loose connection somewhere. That or the bulbs are going out. If they are stock, just replace them anyway to some 6000k Philips bulbs. Much better output anyway.

Are you sure the lights flicker?

Others have noticed that the cut-off pattern "jiggles" or bounces a bit when going over bumps.

I just had this problem when I replaced my lights. The problem is the lights are not sitting in tight. Take out the headlight and wiggle the bulb, its probably loose. Just tighten it up and you will be fine.

Fixed it, the light on the passenger side was pretty lose. I haven't looked into the fuse yet, don't even know where to look.

Thanks so far guys.

A side note, Can you replace the stock xenons with higher intensity bulbs requiring no modification? What are the stock kalvin rating any way?

Glad you got it fixed

If you had stock HID's... just a simple plug in and play

Stock Kevlin I believe are 4300k
6000k have been said to have the best ouput. They have a diamond white color
8000K is usually whitish/blue
12000K is purple

if you want some of that blue hue.. go with 8000k... but don't go above that. higher the kelvin temp.. the less light output there is. I would stick with 6000k if I were you.

yea I just want something brighter as I live in the country and it gets really dark. Hitting a deer in my brand new car would not be cool.

4300k to 5000k is the brightest you are going to get. Above that you loose output but gain color.

thought i'd ask this question here instead of making a different thread, my 12v outlet (on the pass side) works fine when i plug in a vaccum but the lighter outlet on the driver's side dosen't, is this suppose to be like that, is that one strictly for the lighter?

6000K have less output (in terms of lumens) compared to the stock bulb.

i agree. I was just saying that most people believe the 6000k philips have the best color and output. but like people have said... 5000k is the best ouput

What's the point in gaining color then, just looks? I would imagine you want the best visibility at night.

I always laugh when I see the guys who paint there lights blue so it gives off that look and have to then ride with there brights on so they can see.

lol... gaining color is purely looks. However, I upgraded from Halogen bulbs to 8000k and they are SO bright to me. However, if you are used to the stock HID's, get some 5000k Philips bulbs. They will increase your visibility like crazzyy
