How To Change Projector Bulbs?
Is it possible to change the bulbs without removing the bumper + headlight assembly? Can you just jack the car up, remove the wheel, and go through the wheel well? Thanks
it takes me longer to jack up the car and remove the front wheels, than to just angle the bumper forward and remove the headlights. There is also less possibility of contaminating the bulbs with oil/dirt etc when trying to angle them into the housings from the rear
It's pretty easy to pull the bumper forward and remove the headlights. One time, I replaced both headlights in less than 30 mins. However, the one thing I hate about removing the headlights is that you can spend alot of time trying to align them and get them aimed right.

^^^ if you are referring to changing the bulbs, it is pretty easy.
First, you open the cap. Twist it to the left. Once open, turn the metal thing (forgot the name of it, ignitor?) to the left. It then can be pulled out. After that, undo the clip holding the bulb in place. Remove the old bulb and install the new bulb. The bulb can only go in one way. Once the bulb is in, re-do the clip to hold the bulb in place. Re-install the metal thing (igniter?) by putting it on and turning to the right until it is straight vertical. Re-install the cap by turning it to the right.

sorry for the late reply. what i did was jack up the car as high as my hydraulic jack goes. then remove the fender lining and youll notice you have more than enough room to stick one hand in twist the cap, then the metal piece and pull the bulb out. oh and i did it one side at a time

oh sorry I never updated this thread lol. I got my bulbs in by just turning the wheel with no jack. I've got to replace the driving light on my passenger side though since it went out
