^ same reason why we don't use LED bars or ropes.

no. I'm sure curved CCFL would make my life much easier, but not enough people want the mod to justify special ordering them.

The LED's that Mike at Clearcorners.com uses in the clearence strips emit a very low amount of heat so you do not get those heat spots.

he meant the fact that you can see the individual LEDs, instead of one continuous strip of light. They are called the "hot spots"
