Nice little trick, I wasn't aware that you can go from behind the wheel well.. How many here have tried that trick and successfully installed the bulbs without banging it into anything in the way?

Back before my projector retro I was able to swap my headlight bulbs out from above. It was very tight but I did it. From what I understand the wheel well method is pretty easy.

^ Damn, hard to pick a set.. cuz from my research they're both quality HID bulbs. MTEC's are about $145 and Ultinon's are about $200, both shipped. I don't know about others who are looking into this swap as well, but I'm a little confused, because both seem very comparable.

Wow, how the hell did you do this? It's so congested in that area, did you have to remove something to get a grip on them to take em off?

I know alot of people knock on the no name brands or them going out but i got mine off ebay from (motoringmax) I got a 6000k and have been running strong for about 8 months no with NO PROBLEMS...i have seen someother people on driver that has bought some hids from him and was very happy..I like them and there cheap...around like 60$shipped...heres a thread on another buyer...https://g35driver.com/forums/lightin...y-60-hids.html

here is a link for them on ebay...when i got them he has all different sizes and temps...i would say 6000k is good 8000k is BLUE! but its up to you if u like that. and it comes with one year warrenty..soo yea....http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-6...mZ140246016594...

All and all i think its a good buy...but I saw that u said that you have projectors...or for the people thathave projectors...i would say keep ur stock 4300k blubs and do the COLOR/CUTOFF mod!!! I did this mod and I LOVE IT..at the time when i got the 6000k I had the 04 headlights...but i had upgraded to the 06 projectors and had done the COLOR/CUTOFF mod that was posted by IvoryGT...its by far the best mod I have done to my car...that and some springs...But I feel that the COLOR/CUTOFF mod is a MUST if you have projectors...here is what im talking about..notice that the cutoff like is alot sharper at 25feet out and there is a color band on the top of the cutoff...just like the Acura TSX's .With the stock 4300K bulbs your going 2 get the most light output ...with the 6000k to 8000k is less lightoutput the higher the number..its like adding a tint to the light soo its less light..i can see str8 with mine but im running a 6000kM3 fog light kit aswell..but still with them off i still see alot! Im thinking about putting in the stock 4300Ks just too see what it looks like with my colormod....
The pics looks really blue but there 6000k and there WHITE...its just the cam im using..
https://g35driver.com/forums/nationa...lens-pics.html

Im just adding my 2cents...hope this helps.

I think it shows how well Mtec has been growing. When we bought them, you could find them for $99 shipped. The demand must be so good that they could bump their prices by almost 50%

here's a site for mtec's.. best price so far.. $130 shipped
http://www.automotivelightingusa.com/

and i've been running these Omni X bulbs for about 3 months now.. with no problems... i got the 10k ones... i know its less output.. but i like it, my friends and other people like it... so i'm keepin them.. i paid only ~$70 shipped...cheap.. i know lol
http://www.omnixautosports.com/

also, the HID bulbs are easy to replace... i jacked my car up a lil bit... turned the wheel... pulled the fender lining back.. turn the weather cap off.. undid the butterfly-clip thingy.. pulled the bulb out.. replace and reverse everything.. took about 20 minutes to do both sides
