Are you an LED god???? if so, what level god ARE you???


I recently got Level 1

i will soon replace this picture of me (level 1 God) at my computer, with pics of my Leds.


*all bulbs-this means city lights, side markers(corners), blinkers front AND back, reverse lights, license plate, map lights, courtesy door lights, dome lights (sedan), trunk light. if you have not completed the city lights or front blinkers, you may still be eligible for God level 1 status if you can provide valid reasoning.

 

Level 2 is more than enough... although I'm changing out a few of the LEDs for different types, and I still need to figure out how to change my vanity mirror bulbs...

 

i will be going level two, only b/c i need to order some brighter ones for the main map light, and don't want $5 shipping for just 2 bulbs

yes accordfreak and Deftronix are both definitely level 3 gods..... there are probably a couple more, but it's a prestigious title

edit: and yes dofu i saw your post in the vanity mirror thread in the DFW section, i too am following that situation as well.... i think we should crete a whole thread about it tho, perhaps in the sedan section. "03-05 Sedan how do you replace the Vanity Mirror bulb / plate thingy?"

 

What would I be if I design and fabricate my own LED designs for the tail lights and clear corners?

 

you would need to post pics, but we would appoint a panel of other led gods to determine if you have achieved level 3 or not, depending on how hard and how bada$$ your mod is.

Midnight, from the looks of the first vid i saw, your front turn signals aren't LED. is there a reason, or have you fixed this since then?


idk, by the looks of it, the interior dash and gauges are just about as difficult as his mod.. i'd say it would warrant lvl 3. he would only be the 3rd person to be a lvl 3

My front signals are not LED right now, just the clear corners. I still don't know what I want to do with them. I think I want to do a projector retrofit on the headlights, then use a clear lens with an amber luxeon star or luxeon rebel for the turn signal. Until I decide, I'm not gonna switch it out.


I would disagree the interior mod is just as difficult, but that's just my opinion. The interior mod requires you to take out the dash and just replace LED's that are already there. Mine required actual design and fabrication. Those control boards weren't a trivial thing to design, layout, and fabricate. The LED board wasn't too difficult due to its simplicity. But again, that's my opinion, you guys can decide for yourselves .

For sure. That's the guy from HIDplanet, right? He's spent way too many years on one project though I remember people asking him to do it for their car, he just said no way. Certainly an LED god though.
