hey guys i droped by autozone today to pick up some new bulbs for my trunk, map lights and the door footwell lights. i wanted superwhite bulbs to put in(wanted the light to be white and not that oragne color). I only looked for the trunk light today, and found a 198 but it only looked like a normal sylvania lightbulb.

so my questions are:
are LED's direct replacements because i found a pair of 198's ?
and also:
are the sylvania bulbs i saw superwhite bulbs or just oem replacements?

try www.v-leds.com or www.superbrightleds.com i have them in my trunk, under my doors, license plate, reverse lights, map lights, clock, and my clear corners.. finally took them out of the headlight the ones with the strip down the side of our headlights. they get too hot from the headlight and burnout. hope this helps...


the bulbs you found are probally not LED's. and yes LED will be direct replacement. they only fit one way so if they dont work at first just turn them around..

 

enhh dont know if i wana get em off line haha if i can im going to try and get them localy just to make it easier on me, but are leds direct fits?, they looked like theyd fit right in ( plug-in looked same)

 

i have ordered from both companies.. Great service..and yes they are direct fit.. they both have fitment guides on their sights i think..

 

ok cool, im going to go back to autozone one day while im driving by and might try to just buy any led bulb that they have there that ether fits in trunk map or door steps, just to test them out, prolly gona be cheap but expensive though
