LED clearance strip mod question

So I figured I bug Tim enough with these types of questions so I thought I'd ask here

I recently had my 05 headlights painted black (Tim did a top notch job), I've switched to VLED's bulbs for the clearance strip, plate lights and clear corners etc. I'm ordering the halos now. The next step is to replace the clearance strip with a row of LED's (I prefer the look of a row of individual vs a CCFL tube). I measured the strip and it appears that I'll need to cover an 11"-12" inch area.

Am I better off buying a strip of LED's or individual ones and wiring them together?

Does anyone sell a 6000K LED strip in 11"-12" sections? I found this which seems like it may work but I'm not sure how it would wire up? http://www.automotivelightstore.com/...ROD&ProdID=314

It is ALWAYS better to buy the individual LED's and wire them up yourself if you know what you are doing. You get to pick the LED's(and specs) and make sure they are wired correctly for optimal life. I would go with that option any day of the week

i did mine... got the white led strips at FRYS electronics.

they're $30 each, you need one for each headlight and then you have 2 short pieces left over you can use for your clear corners

Cos, how are the lights looking? Are you happy with everything?

If so, did you take any pics?

No I bought a strip off of ebay for way cheaper that cost me like 5 bucks for 2 foot long strips shipped from hong kong. The ones I bought were a bit more purpleish once installed in the housing. I'm going to get my sidemarkers done the same way so there is more of a color match.

Tim did the install, no modification to the housing, just slipped them inside as far as I recall, he can probably answer the questions better than I can

Here is a crap iphone pic. Once I get my sidemarkers done the same way I wont have as many different colors floating around The iphone cam also makes them look a bit too purple.
