Project: LED MODS (part2)

Clock taken apart

changed compass/ac lights to red, clock to white

comparison of old amber lights and new red

seat heater lights changed

trunk/vdc/dim lights changed

JDM AC control opened

Pretty lights...

So sick, just curious though, how the heck did you open the clock, looks like you pulled the arms out. I opened mine from the back and ended up breaking the clock hahaha.

Also for the 4 pin plcc leds did you replace them with the plcc2 leds or did you buy seperate 4 pin ones?

Also did your airbag sensor light come on after you did this? mines going off and i cant get it off even after trying all the resetting, my obd-ll reader doesn't even pick up the code...

You have to desolder the 6 pins (shown in the right side of my picture) and take out the center screw. be very careful not to disturb the hair-like wires wrapped around the poles. Do not solder on them too long or it will melt the plastic they are set into.

I got two pin leds, you can see in the picture I shifted them up. I found only one connection was positive the other 3 are ground.

I just did the airbag reset procedure and it took it off, mine came on from starting the car up without the compass/clock/climate unit plugged in...
