06 Headlight mod question

after opening up the 06 headlamps and doing whatever it is u want to do with them........when sealing them back is there anything in particular i should look out for???........for example....i was told that our headlights are "vented".....so there is a part that allows some breathing room.......or would it be a problem if i just resealed them all the way around??????

for those that are curious as to what i did to my lights.......i just painted them black like everyone else...

Nope im pretty sure you just heat them back up and close them just the opposite of how you opened them.

stick them together and use the 3 screws to pull them together, heat back up if the silicon isnt hot enough and keep tightening the screws and pushing it together until its set

No problems. I would just go the extra and get some sealant from the dealer or AutoZone and go over the trim. That way you'll be 110% sure you won't have an consendation or leaks. Don't forget the three little screws.

absolutely correct^ ive done about 7-8 sets of these..no probs yet..reheat and reseal..be sure the shroud is inside of the lense b4 reheating..the black sealent gets everywhere when its hot,ive had it get on the outer part of the shroud numerous times, any of the paint you use should be tolerable to 270 degrees for about 5-10 mins,w/o affecting it

Best way is to get some extra nissan headlight sealant to make sure they seal up just right. I have also used black silicone.

I used the black silicone let everything dry overnight. So far the headlights have been through 3 of my so called water test (I just hit the headlight with water from all angles). So far so good. Not one bit of moisture inside. Thanks again for the help guys
