What's up guys...ok here is the deal, I had some 06 headlights on my car and they had the TSX projectors retrofitted in them. Well anyways make a long story short I got into a wreck and busted out the passenger headlight. The body shop is trying to order me some headlights and he is asking me about the ballasts...Where would the ballast be located exactly? I dont know if the ballast was damaged during the wreck or not. I'm not sure if I need to order a new ballast or where to check to see if I still have it for reuse

 

If you are utilizing the OEM ballasts, they are attached to the backside of the headlamp assembly. It's been such a long time since I have worked on lights, but If I am not mistaken, they are on the bottom of the lights. They are gray in color.

 

^^^ That's correct. They are on the underside of the lamp and they are several inches square and held on by four screws if I remember right. There shouldn't be anything else that looks like that with wires connected to it.
