Headlight Paint

Not looking for a DIY, I've read them. I just wanted to know what paint people have used to paint their headlight bezels. I want a black satin finish, but I'm not sure where to find paint that can withstand the heat of baking, etc. Any suggestions?

Try the search button.

Damn it. Where is that gif of the hand going to the New Thread button and the other hand smacks it away and takes it to the Search button?

Interestingly enough, I did search. I know people have said they didn't need to use high temp paint, however most paints I see have ~120 deg as their max temp. All I'm asking for is the recommendations of people who actually did use a high temp paint, what brand was used.

Krylon 'No Drip' Ultra Flat Black looks best imo ..... I have used all types of paint including 500 degree and 1200 degree high temp engine enamels on headlight bezels and the quality is definitely inferior but the durability is unmatched... those paints have ceramic in them so you get almost a textured look but will not fade or peel over time .... but I definitely recommend the Krylon ....

I recommend "Duplicolor Charcoal Bumper Coating". you can see my sig for how it turned out.

the bumper coating spray really gives the look/texture of OEM plastics. so it won't look like you took your lights apart and painted them, it will just look like they came black from teh factory if you do it right.

I used metal primer and some random semi-glass spray paint.

I use Krylon Fusion spray paint. Its the only paint I've found that doesn't require sanding the bezels or using a primer first. Also the baking in the oven helps the paint bond to the plastic.

Fantastic, that seems just right. Thanks Iron-Mike. Now, if I could only find someone to sell me bezels (purchased project lights with cracked bezels...arg).
