Best/cheapest way to replace OEM HID bulbs?

One of my headlights just went out... I believe it's just the low beam for my 03 G35 coupe w/ HID.

I want to do an OEM replacement (I don't care to upgrade), and want to find out what the most cost effective way to do this would be.

Dealership quoted me $225 for the bulb, an additional $145 for labor to install that one bulb. I'm tight for money right now so wanted to see how I could do this for cheaper.

A) what should I expect to pay for the bulb, and where do you recommend going? keep in mind, i want this to be legit (not some shady internet HID company).

is this a good deal? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OEM-P...261510002r7557

or this: http://www.kbcarstuff.com/Philips_43.../pb-d2r-4k.htm

B) to avoid paying $145 in labor... is this something i can do easily myself (i'm a novice, but i do have a floor jack and some basic tools), and if not, what sort of labor rate would be reasonable for this bulb installation?

your help is much appreciated!

Ebay is a good place and those are the correct bulbs. You can access the bulbs from behind by removing a wheel and pulling the splash guard in the wheel well, or by partially removing the bumper and the headlight to access them

Check the sticky at the top of this thread for installation and buy the bulb from a member on here. I have the two OEM bulbs I just took out of my car a few weeks ago and could sell you one or both if you want.

if you want to change OEM to OEM, look in the FS forum or post a WTB thread. i'm sure a lot of people who upgraded to aftermarket HIDs would be willing to pair with their OEM ones.
