I'm new here and was looking around the forums and could not find an answer to my question. Where can I get projector headlights for an 05 G35x? If I find 06 projector headlights, will they fit in my 05 g35x sedan? Anything about projectors for my car would help!!

1st gen sedans never came with projectors, only the 06-07 coupes but they have a different headlight housing. Retrofitting projector lenses from another car into your headlights is the most common solution.

Projectors look pretty cool, but there are so many other things I would spend my money on first.

i'll tell you straight forward its going to cost about $500 and your going to be without your headlights for a couple of days.

since you are asking, most likely you dont know how to do it, its not hard but the effort it takes to get it right is too much for some. You grab $100-150 projectors off any car like S2000 or a TL. You will either need new bulbs or a whole HID Kit, $50-150. After that you need to find someone to open your headlights and fit them in there.

Like most would say that isn't a budget friendly mod, yea it will look bad *** and the output might be better but this is one of those mods that is down the road. You just got the car enjoy the car. I find the HID output in our car is decent. Not as nice as my friends TSX but nice.

www.hidplanet.com

If you have the $$$, time, patience, and most importantly...skill....then that site will help you out with all you need to know about doing a projector retrofit into your headlight housing.

Those guys there know their crud about HID headlights and retrofit converstions

We all need to start somewhere. When i was young, i didn't know jack and made some stupid clueless posts myself. Now i rebuild engines and transmissions as a hobby. The only way to learn is to ask questions and hope some *kind* person steers you in the right direction rather than poke fun at you.

i do have to agree with this statement. your first car means a lot to you and you want the stuff you see other cars on the road have. Do the typical stuff, wheels, stereo and suspension. That way if you change your mind you can always sell and make some money. the projectors are hard to sell.

im 23, I had a TL before this car, I did all the sound mods, double din, subs, amps, im fine with the bose system in my car now, I was just looking for something to spend some money on for my car. I dont have very much time anymore to spend on car, more time to spend on my career making that $$$. Just looking for some suggestions for mods to add to this car. Not too interested in modding the engine. Been there done that. I know enough to add a turbo to a 95 chevy blazer with a little help finding the parts. Appreciate the info mustang and turtle, what do you guys suggest I spend some $$$ on for this car. I might add an intake but that might be it.
