Ok so I just had my headlights smoked DARK gtr style this weekend on my daimond graphite g coupe to match my newly smoked taillights and I'm on the fence if I like it or not. . I think it may be the orange turn signal that annoys the hell out if me seeing I don't have the newer projectors idk. Anyhow, I'm debating if I should keep them black of not. the guy at my body shop brought up good idea. He mentioned painting them the body color of the car (in my case would be dark grey). The headlights would basically blend in. Sounds interesting and unique but I'm not sure how that would look. And I dont know if it'll take away from the smoked taillights. What do u guys think? And does anyone have a pic of a g that has done that before? I eventually am gonna upgrade to the projectors down the road but I'm doing this for the time being. Inputs???????

 

I do have some input...

Get rid of whatever "smoked" tint film you put on your nice infiniti lights... it looks really bad because from different angles you can see the disconnect due to the fact that it is placed on TOP of the lense, and therefore not on the inner bezel itself. This looks cheap and tacky on your nice inifiniti.

What I suggest to do instead is to bake and open up those lovely $$$ headlights, and PAINT the bezel itself! Whether you choose Black or color matched to your body color is up to you! But painted bezels look >>>>>>>>>> better than overlays since the overlays don't line up right at every angle.

There, that is my input And don't be scared to bake your lights to open them... it's not that bad, Just read a few DIYs first!

open it and paint it flat black or satin black if you so prefer
