HID headlight help

hey guys im experiencing a problem with my left headlight. my problem is that the left HID bulb wont turn on. i tried 3 other bulbs and none of them worked, so i know its not the bulbs problem. im afriad it might be the ballast. everything else works ( turn signals, side markers, clearance strip) only the left HID bulb wont turn on. is there a way to check if the ballast went? or could there be a more simple solution to the problem? my headlights are 03. thanks in advance.

edit 4/16

bumping this up. i replaced my ballast, and my hid's worked fine for about 2 months, and now its doing the same thing again, so im pretty sure its not the ballast since my fog lights are lit too. my drl/led above the foglight is also not working anymore. anyone have any ideas on where to check? i also checked all the fuses.

the best way is take out the right bulb and install it on the left where the problem is and if doesnt work the its ur ballasts. I think thats the best way.

pretty sure its not the bulbs, they were just bought about 2 weeks ago. if it is my ballast, can i just purchase a HID kit and use that ballast to replace the bad one? or do i need the OEM ballast to b working to fuel power into the new ballast? i never done a HID kit before so i dont know how it works, thanks.

Maybe you are getting water in there somehow and it is shorting things out?

Id like to know about this too! I dont want to use up too much money on OEM ballasts and + the oem ballasts w/ aftermarket bulbs are really weak! Can i just buy a conversion kit and use the ballast that came with the kit instead?

the fog lights are not part of the ballast. The ballast only powers the HID bulb.

you can, but its a pain because youll need to drill new holes to place the ballast somewhere, and its nto worth it imo.
