Halo lighting

Will these http://www.ilovebodykits.com/product...Halo_Ring.html show well on my 06 obs G35 sedan? I want the Halos and as cheap as possible but not crappy so they are pointless. Will they be as bright as http://www.automotivelightstore.com/...lehalokit.aspx this? because I really don't want to pay $200. Any input would be greatly appreciated

I'm personally going AAC.. Having to go through the process of baking your lights open and all that, you want quality CCFLs.. Those things are fragile as it is.. If you pay 100 bucks and it has gaps on the sides, you're gonna be pissed.

That's true, I just am on the tightest off budgets lol, I am doing my headlights in an audi style already with LED's up the bottom and outside, and i'm not doing it and my install shop wants 550 for doing my headlights with LED's and matching my headlights to a 6000K. so 200 extra is a lot, if anyone can get them for me cheaper

first of all, LEDs at bottom, outside AND in halos are wayy too overkill IMO.

second, you can install some of those yourself? look for DIY around this forum. theres a lot

I really don't think it would be too much, but that's obviously a personal preference thing. But the more i look at my headlights the more i think i don't have enough room for LED's to go around because I have an '06 sedan and my fog light isn't the littler light (projector i think) instead its wide like my headlight (reflectors if i'm not mistaken) so i might have to go just Halo's and I'm nervous to do it myself because I do not want to have problems with the seal of the headlights

I plan to have Halos and I have led's at the bottom in my mesh.. There's plenty of separation between the lights, and they'll be nice DRLs. Or were you talking about LEDs inside the light housing or something?

I created a mockup of what it'll look like w/ my car.. I currently have the HIDs, and LEDs in the mesh and side markers, added the hood I want and Halos..

^im referring to saskicker32. he says he has LEDs at the bottom, and at outside somewhere else. Adding to that, he says he will be redoing his headlights with LEDs, so thats even more LEDs

umm, theres a member on here parting out his car. He has an 05 sedan, and his headlights are blacked out, 6000k low beam and matched 6000k HID fogs. He has the good quality 6000k halos in there as well. you should just get that off him. those headlights would be perfect for you. Name is Kazaam

those are beautiful man, I really wanted to LED mine up the sides but with the reflectors they are just too wide to do so i think Halo is my only option

CCFLs are more delicate than LEDs

Being in the electronics biz, I do know that LED lighting is rugged, long lived and vibration resistant. That is why the trend is to go with LEDs in cars, home lights, notebook PC back-lights, flat panel TVs and durable flashlights that do not burn out. All this technological shifting is happening now that the pricing is constantly coming down on the LEDs and the power regulators. I would recommend not using CCFLs, as posts I have read somewhere in this forum have pointed out, due to reliability. LEDs are also brighter and use less energy (not that it matters much on a car) but many people like the cleaner, brighter look also. I know that I do. Although I do like the look on the white G above very much.

CCFL (Cold Cathode Flourescent Lighting) is the same technology as the overhead tube lights that we liked to break when we were kids. These are fragile, have to be replaced and are not optimal for cars that bounce around on roads every day. Most notebook computer back lights (PCs are handled with care) last 3-5 years. Pay the extra money and go LED, IMHO, since LEDs last for thousands of hours of operation. Not worth taking the lights apart to fix after a few months or years ......
