hid blubs

Hey guys my friend drives an 05 g coupe, and his left lb headlight went out. Since the car comes stock with hids already; it shouldn't be a problem to just get a new bulb and everything will be okay again right? Or do you need a whole new hid kit? I am pretty you just need to change the bulb, but I just want to make sure?
