Can anyone help?? I was looking to purchase new headliights for my 04 G35 coupe and was told that the Xenon lights won't fit, is this true??? I would really like to sprouse my car up and would like to know if I can replace my dingy factory headlights withthe Xenon headlights.. Please help!!!

 

just buy a set of 06+ headlights which have the projectors in them instead of the reflectors like the 03-05's have. You should be able to find a decent set in the marketplace or maybe on Ebay. No idea who told you they won't fit

 

The Infiniti dealership here in New Orleans. I called them this morning and that's what the parts deptartment told me. He claimed that I couldn't buy the Xenon I would have to get the Halogen for my model, said that the Xenon are too big... Looked on ebay but wanted to make sure that they would fit on my car before wasting money to purchase lights that won't fit.

 

i assure you they fit as lots of members here are running them. I'm planning on upgrading mine with the 06+ lights as soon as i get other things together (this isn't a high priority upgrade for me at this time)

 

IIRC all G35 coupes came with Xenons as standard equipment. G35 sedans came standard with halogens w/ Xenon as an option for the first few years.

 

^^ What he said. All coupes came with Xenons. They were optional on the sedans.

The earlier coupes had HID (Xenon) lights with reflectors. Starting in 2006, they had HID (Xenon) lights with projectors.

I have upgraded mine to the 2006 lights. You have to take the ballast off of your light and put it on the new ones. The bulbs are different (make sure they come with bulbs).

 

west covina nissan (calif) sells them new without ballasts for $450/set.
