Yea you can't use the 03-05 bulbs for 06+ projectors. The 03-05 use D2R bulbs and the 06-07 use D2S bulbs.

For all those wanting 06 projector headlights: They are selling brand new on ebay from dealers (eg. Circle Infiniti) for $500 with bulbs (links below). You can then sell your old ones for a couple of hundred bucks and recover most of the cost. Don't get ripped off by some of the guys on this forum trying to milk all they can from their used sets.

In my opinion, if the new ones are around $500 w/ bulbs, these used sets are worth $350 at best. I'm not trying to be a hater, just helping out my fellow G owners on a budget.

Not true . A 04 bulb (D2R) wont fit 06 (D2S) .The alignment notched are opposite of eachother not allowing it to fit . You can notch out a new alignment notch with a dremel on the D2R bulbs to fit but those aalignment notches are there for a reason . They align the bulb to give the proper optics . There are D2C bulbs which have both notches on it and will fit both. The C in D2c however mean "Crap" as in all D2C bulbs are just aftermarket crap . The alignment notches on them dont matter cause its not focusing the light the proper way anyway .

^ These statements is 100% fact . There are no reputable or quality HID companies producing D2C bulbs and never will be

Ur exactly right but that's what I did, I used a grinder to put a new notch in the D2r bulbs. They fit and work fine but if what ur saying is true then I should probably swap them out to D2s bulbs so they don't eventually fall outta alignment

D2r has a reflector shield on the bulb creating cutoff line

D2s has no shield and cutoff line produced by projector

D2c is crap. Made to fit both d2s/r but doesn't have shield on bulb. Works perfectly A's d2s but if used as d2r then it will glare all over the place. Think of an older civic with hid.

Only older cars uses d2r such as IS300

Do the projectors have a sharper end, like an s2k. And is the vision better. My 05 I feel like I'm driving blind... Kinda at a loss.
