the bi-xenon twist
I'm considering converting the foglights in my G sedan to real xenons. I have a pair of Phillips ballasts and bulbs collecting dust and I'm curious as to how difficult the conversion would be.
I'm not worried about the electrical aspect, but rather, the actual mounting of the bulbs in the fog-light assembly. Any ideas would be appreciated.

But don't you lose your high beams if you convert to HIDs? Since that bulb in the fog light is a fog light/high beam then you would have to choose one light. Aim it high like a high beam and then you cant drive around with it on as a fog light. And aim it low like a fog light and then you basically have two low beams and nothing to project far into the distance like a high beam. This is why I am thinking of simply replacing the bulbs instead of a HID covnersion. A real low/high beam HID conversion is very expensive I believe.

That's my understanding as well. I haven't heard of a dual focus Xenon bulb. That's why I'm trying to source a set of 'Silver Stars' for my G.
