5k is the best light output possible after that, you start loosing light.

I have 6k's I would not go any higher then that.

HID's in halogen headlights that are for reflecting halogen bulbs and with HID bulbs it just scatters and blinds everyone and anything over 10000k i believe is the law in California...if its to blue you could get pulled over...just go with 6K if you want a nice looking light with good output or go with 8k if you want a blueish light for looks and don't care to much about output.

You'll be fine with the 6K, any higher and you'll begin to lose quality light penetration. (depth) Along with pissing off on coming drivers....

Depends on where you live. In WA any blue light facing a forward direction on your vehicle is illegal. Most people around here stick to 8000K and below. I used to have 8000K's on my truck which was not designed for HID's and the glare was terrible. Never got pulled over or harassed by the cops...but then again I was one so maybe that had something to do with it haha
