Need help with headlights please.

Hello,

I posted this in the Lighting section but that place seems like a graveyard so I thought I'd try posting it here too. I have an 04 coupe and recently one of my headlights went out. Its probably just the bulb but I figured I may as well get some new headlights.

I've been looking at the aftermarket ones and they seem pretty nice. I just have a couple of questions I was hoping someone could help me out with.

1) I was looking at these https://g35driver.com/forums/exterio...hts-v2.htmland thought they look pretty nice. Does it come with everything, like the bulbs? Or do I need to order those separate? Can I just "plug" the new lights in and everythings good to go? I'm not too car savvy so I apologize if this is a dumb question.

Also, does anyone have any pics of these installed on their coupe.

2) What do you guys think of these? https://g35driver.com/forums/exterio...ts.htmlBetween the two, which one is better?

3) Any other aftermarket headlights worth looking in to?

Thanks for any help its much appreciated.

I dislike both designs, honestly. I would just shell out the money and get OEM 06-07 projectors. When I ordered mine, it came with everything, turn signal bulbs, OEM 4300 projector bulbs, and amber 194 city light. Only thing I had to do was use the ballasts for my 03-05 OEM reflectors and install them on my 06-07 projectors.

But I ended up switching out my turn signal bulb to a hyper white, a 6K LED 194 city light, and 6k projector bulbs from Statik.

Those headlights are ugly as sin.

I will literally disown anyone who decides to buy them.

I like the OEM projectors too. I'm still deciding. I'm liking the Aftermarket V2 design, but I'd wanna see it on the car.

I had another question and was hoping someone could help me out. I'm deciding between the OEM projectors and the Aftermarket V2 headlights (after I see how they look on the car). It says the aftermarket V2's will only work on factory HID's and not Halogens. How do I know if I have HID's or Halogens?

So I decided to go with the OEM projectors. I wasn't crazy about the aftermarket headlights after seeing them on the coupe. During the day they look nice, but at night there's just too much going on imo.

What are the bulbs used in the projectors? I know one is the D2S, but what about the high beam and the clearance strip?

Also, can someone explain to me why the Phillips Ultinon HID bulbs are like $200? Where as some other no-name generic brand is like $40? Is there a real difference in brightness/quality?

Thanks.

yup there is a big difference in quality and output with oem phillips and cheap knockoffs . Chase please do yourself and everyone else the favor of not putting on 10000k Hid's . The output of them is equal to hologens and not safe . They are also asrice as you can get .Anything over 6000k is just retarded

Alot of people seem to recommend Riverside Infiniti so I'll probably get them there. I believe they have an ebay store.

The04Coupe:
Can you elaborate? I'm not questioning you, I'm just trying to learn more about it and whether or not its worth it to put the extra money in for the Phillips. Also, any idea on the other bulbs for the projectors?

There are a buch of reasons to stick with oem quality bulbs . You will buy around 4 pairs of cheap bulbs compared to the lifespan of 1 pair of phillips . Cheap bulbs can mess up the cutoff and throw light where its not supposed to . They loose light output over time .Color doesnt match or shifts color a lot. There not cheap for no reason . You can find the phillips much cheaper than 200 if you look around . Its worth the extra .The ultinons have a lot less output than the standard phillips 85122 or 85122+ bulbs but they dont have the cheap problems . With the ultinons ,it is a quality bulb but you are sacrificing output for a tiny bit of color .
