HID off, clearance bulb on

So my drivers side 03 sedan HID stopped turning on. But, the clearance lamp goes on instead, but only this side. The other side HID comes on as it should and clearance is off. I would normally think bad ground or other wiring issue but not sure what the wiring is without a diagram.
Anyone know if a simple HID bulb replacement would fix? Yeah, I can always pull them both and swap sides to see what is happens but it is easier to ask for experiences here! Thanks.

the clearance lights should go on with the parking lights and stay on with the headlights. Sounds like you have a burnt out hid and a burnt out clearance light on the other side

Good information for which I thank you. The wiring diagram would have answered this question, a question I should have asked first. This is my wife's car and I rarely drive it so am not familiar with what lights are on when. So, armed with this info, I will pull the HID bulb, look it over (since it cannot be tested simply) and then get one on order.
Thanks again.
