Question HID Question

Hey guys, I had a few questions about after market HID bulbs for the front headlights. I tried searching, but couldn't find any specific results.
I have a 06 g35 coupe with projectors.
I need the d2s bulbs right? Also, is it a direct plug and play or will I have to do wiring?
I looked up a couple of videos and threads that showed people only switching the bulb--no additional wiring.
In other words, if I just buy the bulbs and perform the bulb switch, will the lights work?
Any input is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

BTW, I'm wanting to change to 6000K bulbs if that makes a difference.

Just change the bulbs, all P&P, no wiring involved. 5000K will offer more light with a little less blue....

Alright! Thanks for the reply. So does that mean aftermarket ballasts are useless for our cars?
