Which way are Foglights suppose to be aimed 06 headlights?

Just got a pair of 06 projectors and put in some 3k fogs. Wondering if fogs are meant to be pointed down to light up behind the low/high beams closer to the bumper or just straight out like the projectors? Only looking for best visibility in inclement weather since that is the only time I would use them.

Thanks Mike

Fogs are usually aimed low to illuminate the road surface in front of you... otherwise you get big time reflection of the lighting from the fog/condensation in the air... the "white-out' effect, as you get with conventional low/high beams that are angled at a more direct angle that exaggerates this effect. The fogs "fill in" the area below the low beams so you can see where you're going and what's actually in front of you on the road.

Traditionally and standard in Euro-spec cars, the fogs are a yellow in color to enhance/brighten this area of viewing.. especially while zipping down the Autobahn at 3 digit speeds!!
