Can I replace my OEM HID bulb with an aftermarket bulb and keep OEM ballast?
So.. can I replace my OEM HID bulb with an aftermarket bulb and keep the OEM ballast?
Also I just want to be sure of this, but can someone confirm that our OEM ballasts are 35w? I looked up OEM Infiniti parts and that's what came up.
One of my HIDs went majorly pink.. while the other is normal colored so I'm guessing it's time. I'm planning to swap out both sides while I'm at it.

My car is a 2004 Infiniti G35 coupe.

Yes, you can replace the OEM bulbs with aftermarket bulbs and keep the OEM ballasts.
The 35w/55w doesn't matter cause they don't sell bulbs by that. I replaced mine with the ones from DDMTuning.com and the bulbs seem fine and are still doing fine, just wished they were brighter though.
