Water in headlight. Not condensation, but water! Help!

In one of my headlights I noticed some moisture and my headlight bulb stopped working as well. I have angel eyes installed and those still work, as well as my fog lights, only my HID bulb went out. I removed the lamp and put it in the oven to get moisture out. When I first opened the backs of the lamp and tipped it upside down, about a cup of water spilled out. I lined the outside of the lamp with clear silicone and the back openings with Teflon tape. I ordered a new bulb, but when I opened it, it was cracked, so I'm waiting on another. Can anyone tell me if they have had this problem and if my HID will still work once the new bulb comes in?

Thanks!

More than likely its your ballast thats still wet. I had the same issue and it took 2 weeks for my ballast to dry out. Now its working back again. The bulb was fine. It was just the ballast.

What did you do to fix your leaking problem? And did you do anything extra to dry te ballast?
