I always wondered why people didnt do this more often then painting them that dull color black.

 

wait, you only painted the lens and not the actual housing?

 

I really appreciate all of the positive feedback. Haha, I guess I need to clarify. I did open the lights and tint only the chrome bezel inside. Same as what other people paint inside their headlights. If I tinted the lens it would look totally different, you wouldn't be able to see the bezel and lights inside very well. As for my subaru tail lights I am planning on doing the same thing. They are clear taillights with a chrome reflector inside with leds. The only difference is I have to cut the subaru tails open instead of baking them (a little scary). Here is a pic of the subaru taillights before.

UPDATE: Here are a few close up on car pics. They look amazing to me and match the grill perfectly. I still feel like the pics don't do it justice, the finish of the tinted chrome is much glossier than they show up in pictures. I will try to get some distance pics too soon.
