Advanced parking light fuse issue troubleshooting?
Hey guys. I put up a thread earlier about my G35 parking lights blowing fuses no matter what I do. Threw in a 15a fuse instead of a 10, and it didn't work either. Here's EXACTLY what is happening assuming I have a new fuse in the IPDM
Turn car on
Turn head lights on
- Radio and climate control buttons all light up
Put car in drive
let off the brake and coast forward like 2-3 feet
Fuse blows and I lose parking lights + interior lighting
It does this EVERY time. I've checked for grounding, pinched tail light harness wires, etc. The only thing I can think of is that this "illumination wire" that's in the dash behind the radio could be moving around back there and is grounding out on something.. however my car doesn't have a aftermarket stereo even though the blows 6 disc CD changer doesn't work. I'm seriously at a loss. I just bought this car 3 weeks ago out of state, and I have to get it inspected soon before my license plate gets here and I get a bunch of fines for this. I'd appreciate any help you guys can give, as I'd rather not pay $36.00 to ask a technician the same question only to have him tell me it's fuse #75 blowing.
