clearance light yellowing

Any way to fix this ?? Everything looks perfect in my 03 headlight except the clearance light. If I take apart the headlight and remove the clearance light cazn i possibly buff it or polish it back to clear ????

did it tonight. No noticeable difference. Buffed it out with plastic x
