Yeah, I'm going with projector lamps but was really looking for advice regarding actual headlight brands. Does it matter, are they all pretty much the same?

First: They look cheesy. They've got LEDs and Halos. Halos belong on BMWs. Not only that, these are cheap quality LEDs and Halos. You'll be lucky if they last a year without burning out. It's possible though.

Second: Even if you don't connect the cheesy LEDs and Halos, you still have to put up with the absolutely garbage output from the projectors. They're just cheap projectors, the chrome in the bowls are terrible quality, I do retrofits, and I've seen several people with these lights come to me and ask why their output suddenly got worse. Every time when I take the light apart, I find the same problem. That the chrome in the bowl (what is responsible for reflecting the light out of the projector) has melted because of it's low quality being unable to stand up to the heat from the bulbs. Usually when someone uses aftermarket bulbs with these lights, the aftermarket HID bulbs burn hotter than OEM because they have thinner glass than OEM (to save cost), causing the chrome to burn even faster. The cutoff is okay, but that is just from a shield, nothing complicated about that. You can get WAY more color in your cutoff from using quality projectors and a clear lens.

Three: Resistance to elements. These housings are cheap, there's no doubt about it, in turn it makes these very vulnerable against the elements. I've also seen water leak into these, or condensation take over the inside of the lens.

I realize that the price of the OEM 06-07 lights have become very high, and I truly understand you wanting to find an alternative, but as far as quality goes, these are not a good alternative. I'd see if you can save up for the OEM 06-07's.. or attempt a retrofit on some 03-05 headlights, or even wait it out and try to buy some 06-07s used. I strongly suggest avoiding these lights, but ultimately it's up to you.

The lights you linked do NOT come with D2S bulbs. You can buy aftermarket ones, but keep in mind what I said about them burning hotter than OEM and over time destroying the bowls. Also, if your car came with HIDs from the factory, these will be a swap just like it would be if you got the OEM 06-07s. You have to swap your ballasts over and connect them to the D2S bulb to power them. So you'll be using your OEM ballasts. If you have the early 03 like Phil said, you'll need a conversion kit.
