What exactly is a demon eye?
I feel like I see this term get thrown around and now I'm slightly confused. Could someone please enlighten me.
I see some pictures of so called demon eyes where there is just a halo ring around a normal headlamp, nothing else.
I then see other pictures where there appears to be a halo around a projector, thus giving the projector a slight glow of whatever color the ring is(while the headlight is not actually active and projecting light.)
I've also seen other pictures where a projector lens with no halo around it appears to be glowing a certain color, but not actually projecting any light out.
Anyone wanna clear this up for me? Thanks

Yeah, those are definitely my favorite looking. But it appears to me to just be a glowing projector, right? And I would assume the light source for the red glow is inside the projector assembly as well as the headlight bulb.

The picture posted is what a demon eye looks like. Its basically an LED placed inside the projector to make it glow. Halos rings that you see on like BMW headlights are also known as angel eyes.
So I'm guessing when people get these style headlights, they have it wired so the led that makes the projector glow as a demon eye is off when the headlight turns on, making the lens into a projector. Or does it always have a faint glow, even as the lights are on?

Thanks, that makes sense. I've seen countless pictures of other people's "demon eyes" that are just halo's or are somehow not like the posted picture.

When you turn on your headlights, the color will actually wash out so you technically don't need to have it off when your headlights are on.
Here is a pretty good thread on them:

What do you mean can't? It's doable as I've seen plenty of pictures of g's with them before.
I feel like I've seen a decent amount of good looking retrofits with em. Though I cant say I know about the coupes really, I mainly look at sedan designs. There are definitely some good looking one out there though, at least I think so.
got pics? ive only seen g35s with over done leds and halo rings which im not a fan of
