L.E.D lighting issue

i believe it has something to do with the dome light using a negative trigger to activate the dome light so there is always contant power or something like that

It is something like that. Its designed so that the bulbs always have +12 at one terminal, and the ground is what is controlled. I rewired it so that the +12 is what switches, not the ground.

^howd u rewire it? my installer added some type of inverter

I just rewired it so that the spdt switch that you push connected to +12 instead of ground. I don't think that would have any impact on the dim light when off though. Think thats a result of having 18 LEDs on each side for the door lights. The more power your bulb needs, the less likely the dim light up will happen
