I just bought an '04 G35 coupe. Apparently it had some front end damage and when they replaced the lights one has the black background and the other chrome. I dont want to mess with modifying either because they are both a little foggy even after I cleaned them myself and payed to have them cleaned. I plan to buy some aftermarket and sell the old ones on ebay. I have a chrome grille and dont plan on changing it. My question is, which will look better, a new set with black background or the chrome background? Also Ebay has sets for around $300. Is there any reason why I should not buy them?

I'd say chrome if your gonna keep the grill chrome.

 

Get some 06 projectors, Ebay parts in general are cheap and will most likely not fit well causing water to get inside. The projectors will look less cheap and ricey and fit way better.
