This makes driving in the rain even better than stock. With the

USDM, can you post a picture of your headlights.. just want to see your foglight. By the way, compare to stock foglight bulbs, is the hyper yellow H-4 bulb brighter and where did you buy the bulbs from?

You went from 4100k to 8000k!

4100k has a higher Lumen rating (more output) than 8000k. Don't let the the blue light fool you. Eyes are more sensitive to higher kelvin, thinking that it's brighter when is really not. Instead, we strain our eyes to death if we drive with kelvins that high.
To save your eyes and to save yourself from having "ricer" lights, go back to the ol' beautiful Philips 4100k!

Stock bulbs are perfect. You can't get any better than that.
Now if only Infiniti started planning OEM Projector headlamp as an upgrade to the G35, now we are talking!
Great post. I purchased my 8000k the other day from ebay, I can't wait to install it.
I've heard people say less lumens = bad, however I noticed that when I had 8000k HID's on my Altima, they were much brighter and lit the road up better then the Factory G lights. This is the main reason for the switch, I guess on paper the 4000k lights are better, but from experience, 8000k is great.

Wow, that looks reallly BLUE...i'm sure the camera is exaggerating it a little bit tho. I bet it sure looks beautiful in motion. I'm happy for the most part with my 6000k bulbs, They are just a tad dimmer than stock, but light up the road fine.

It did not light up the road better, you are mistaking sensitivity with output. I will bet my home and the G35.
Keep in mind too, there are no reputable HID manufacturers (Philips, Osram and GE) that produce anything higher than 6000k.

No, I wouldn't bet, I totally agree, its just the color I prefer and my eyes have never been strained from it. I drive on mostly well lit roads, so I think the blue is more noticeable when it reflects on everything.
I'm not worried about the reputability of the brand, I bought expensive bulbs and had bad luck, bought cheap bulbs and they never burned out. And if they do, I will just put the OEM bulbs back in.

PIAA makes 6600K D2R replacement bulb. Anybody try this setup? It is a little pricey, though.
