i got 06 projector headlights on my 03 coupe
will these bulbs fit my hid kit?

i understand that 06 needs D2S but i read that D2C and D2R will also fit, is this true?

 

ur converting ur highbeams/fogs to hid? looks like the right kit cept u lose high beam function iirc

 

I currently have a 6k hid kit already from previous owner, just wanted to get it to a higher blue tint so i went with 8k(ebay listing said it was compatible with a 03 g35) and apparently its not accoridng to my shop lol

what? you asked if i was converting to a hid kit.. i already have a hid kit. i just want a more blue color to my lights.

 

why buy a hid kid if u already have an hid kit? why not jus replace the bulb then?

 

I'm guessing your G is the non factory HID?

 

all g coupes came with hids

 

because my right side headlights were not working so i needed a whole new kit anyways

yeah, previous owner put the kensun kit in there.

HID low beam was an upgrade, I don't know too many people with HID high beam. Why don't you just stick your hand in there and pull out the bulb and check?

 

Hmm, sorry for sounding stupid but a kit is only for high OR low beam not both? I was aware that the g's came stock with hids though. Also I cant check atm because my cars in the shop atm getting my impul/karuma z painted and installed

edit: anyways to sum it up, can you link me to a good hid kit to buy? looking for 8000k low beams i guess

 

Welp I think I just found the problem on why they're not fitting? lol.
I bought 03 g35 headlights and im pretty sure my car came with 06 projector headlights.



can someone confirm i have 06 projectors? and if i do have 06 projectors, i need D2S bulbs, or h1 bulbs correct?
