drl wiring question

I'm working a projector retrofit with halos on 03-05 coupe lights. What would be the best way to wire the halos to turn off when the low beams come on ? I was gonna wire to the clearance lights but they stay on when the headlights turn on I believe

SPDT relay will do the job.

85- Low beam +V
86- GND
30-IGN+V
87a-DRL+
87- no connection

When IGN ON, 30 and 87a are connected(normally closed), so DRL gets power with IGN ON, when low beam ON, relay switch pole to 87 which isn't connected to anything=no power to DRL

You can also use the parking lights to shut off the DRL instead if you prefer.

Here's a diagram if it makes more sense.

Lol greatly appreciated. I understand how relays work but that cleared up the setup for this case ! I think I have leftover relays I can use from an old hid kit
