WTF! 05" 6mt HIDS to 06" Projectors

The MOD monkey forced me into another episode. The 06 projectors were recieved today and I proceeded to pull my 05 headlight apart from my car. When I got the driver side headlight off, I found out that my stock 05 HID bulbs will not fit the 06 projector housing. Do I need to get the 06 HID bulbs in order to fully complete the MOD? I read that it was plug and play on these headlights and that people was using their old bulbs and ballast for this upgrade. I did hear this earlier, is this a misunderstanding? I have attached 3 pics for visual reference. The left housing units of each year model. The left one is 05 HID and the 06 projector is on the right.

Anyways the 06's low beam housing has a different groove than my 05's. The high beam housing of the 06 projector is a smaller cut out and has a female yellow wire attached to it, vs. my 05's high beam housing which is just a huge hole for the bulb and molex. I dint even check the turn indicator light yet and stopped further processes to consult this community. Are the turn signal lights different also? I am guessing that I will need are 2 low beam HIDs and 2 high beam HIDs. Is there something else that I don't know about? I will have to ask this knowledgeable forum for help if y'all don't mind? PLEASE!

Thanks in advance,

Poker

Yeah last I checked the OEM Projector takes a D2S and the OEM reflector takes an H4 or similar. Looks like you need to buy a set of bulbs. Consider Morimoto D2S bulbs, great quality with good projection and a solid price.

Thanks Urbanengineer for the reply. I have the necessary bulbs being sent to me from Cali so it should be a three day halt till they arrive. I hope this is the only hiccup. When I get the MOD done I will repost the full completed pics onto this thread.

California is either CA.or SoCal not Cali unless you're fruti

Why have your ride down for 3 days when you can go to Nissan and buy bulbs that would work. It kills me to have SLICK in the body shop when I'm adding a new mod or having my bumper repainted...which is coming soon!

I am not going to have my ride sit for three days. I'm going to put the headlights and bumper back on as soon as I get off work today. I'm getting the bulbs at no charge from CA.
Just Because!

I agree if it weren't for the famous Mt. Fugi symbol, I would have thought it be some other make.

The lights are 6000K SUPER VISION HIDS and that is a NO on the 06/07 tail lights because I don't like them. My stock 05's are cool.
