Fixing Projector Headlight Lens "Inside"

I have a set of 06+ g35 projector headlights that I picked up super cheap. I put about 4 hours into the outside of the lens and they look absolutely beautiful however the inside of the lens on both headlights have some light cracking/scratching from heat it appears. This seems to be common on these headlights as my personal set has the same issue on both lights in certain spots. My question is can I remove the lens and sand/polish the inside out to fix it just like the outside? I would assume so but before I spend the time wanted to confirm.

They look really nice still but at certain angles you do see the light scratching/heat cracks from the inside. I wouldn't mind spending the time if I knew they could be made mint again. They would certainly sell for a premium if they were as spotless on the inside as they are the out.

Thanks

My previous pair had that exact same problem. Mint when viewed from the front but god awful when viewed from the sides, and at night the light showed all the cracks. I sold them for cheap and picked up a new set, only remedy other than swapping the lenses.

Those stess/heat cracks are not repairable from what I've heard and that you should leave the inside of the lens alone unless you know what you're doing. I got this info awhile back from a well known retrofitting company.

Listen to what they say, a new pair of lenses can be had from removing those of a new eBay replacement pair. ($250-$325).

I tried the wet sanding method and ended up back at square one, still unhappy with my headlights not being perfect.

Sanding the inside requires special tools or hours of your time.

I fixed mine by replacing the lenses.
